OPCEA Membership Application
Our association is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting member companies in the promotion of their equipment and services to the pollution control market sector of Ontario. Originally founded in 1970 under the name Ontario Sanitation Equipment Association, the OPCEA has since grown to over 170 member companies whose fields encompass a broad spectrum of equipment and services for the air and water pollution control marketplace.
Why your firm should become a member
In its endeavour to promote member companies and
their products, the OPCEA directly participates in
and provides the following services:
WEAO Annual Technical Symposium & OPCEA Equipment Exhibition - OPCEA membership is mandatory
to all suppliers who wish to participate in this trade show and the exhibit portion of the conference is
organized by a director of the OPCEA.
OPCEA Directory and Buyers Guide - 10,000
directories are published annually and
distributed in the Ontario marketplace.
A combined OPCEA/WEAO magazine promotes
upcoming tradeshows and events - The OPCEA is
listed with both the Federal and Provincial
Government offices whose mandate is to promote
Canadian firms in the pollution control market.
Member companies are thus kept current with
upcoming events and opportunities.
An annual general meeting and periodic events sponsored by the association for the member companies.
Website (www.opcea.com) will include your company’s listing.
For privately owned Canadian companies membership with the Canadian Federation of Independent
Business (CFIB) is included.
OPCEA membership runs from July 1 to June 30. The annual membership fee is
$423.75 Cdn (incl. 13% HST). There is also an initiation fee for new members of
$395.50 Cdn (incl. 13% HST). Membership fees for companies who do not qualify for CFIB is
$310.75 (incl. 13% HST). Any company joining OPCEA after July 1, will be invoiced for a full year membership and
the initiation. New members will be given a pro-rated credit on their membership renewal invoice the following
July. The amount of this credit will be dependent on when they joined.
Membership fees cover the firm's listing, both alphabetically and by product in the annual directory, all newsletters, and a provision for two representatives to attend the annual meeting and dinner. Fees for advertising in the directory and for attendance at the trade exhibits are extra.
If your firm is engaged in the supply of equipment or services to the air or water pollution control market in Ontario, we urge you to give serious consideration to joining our association.
